'The Impossible Set' features The Doctor from 'The Snowmen' and Clara from 'Asylum Of The Daleks'.

Product Details:

Clara and the Doctor: Linked through time in the most impossible way!

Clara 'Oswin' Oswald: The Impossible Girl. She and the Doctor first met on the Dalek Asylum planet where she claimed to have been fending off Dalek attacks for a year, making soufflés - where did she get the milk and eggs? Oswin agreed to deactivate the forcefield around the planet, but when human the Doctor went to rescue her, he discovered the terrible truth. Oswin wasn't a girl any longer, but actually an insane Dalek who, unable to cope with her conversion, had retreated into a fantasy world. Oswin fulfilled her promise of helping the Doctor, telling him to "Run. Run, you clever boy, and remember..." They will meet again... and again.

The Doctor, appalled by his inability to save Amy and Rory from the Weeping Angels, retreated to Earth and hid himself and the TARDIS away from the Universe. Another chance but ill-fated meeting with Clara Oswald in snowy Victorian London pulled him out of his solitude and set him back on a new adventure.... to find the Impossible Girl!

Radio Times Doctor Who Cover - 1st-7th September 2012

Radio Times have launched another issue of their popular magazine, sporting a Doctor Who cover, this time to promote Asylum of the Daleks.

In the new issue of Radio Times, on sale from today, there are interviews with Karen Gillan, Matt Smith and Arthur Darvill, plus an episode guide by Steven Moffat.

Talking about the new companion, Karen Gillan says:

“I’ve met Jenna and we get on really well. And I’ve been texting her bits and bobs about Matt, but what I wrote is a secret. That’s the code of the companion. I didn’t offer her any advice though because I want her to have the experience for herself. I didn’t want to plant any preconceptions in her head.”

On the Doctor’s 50th anniversary next year, Matt Smith says:

“We want to make it as big and bold and as brilliant as we can because, we hope, it can be one of the monumental bits of TV history. But I doubt there’ll be a regeneration…”

+  Radio Times is out Today, priced £1.40.

Doctor Who Series 7 Roundup

Series 7 of Doctor Who is shaping up nicely, and with it a new wave of casting confirmations and episode title reveals.

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has confirmed that David Warner, Liam Cunningham, Dougray Scott and Jessica Raine will all have guest roles in the forthcoming series, which is to begin airing this September.

It was recently confirmed that Asylum of the Daleks is indeed the title of Episode One (which DWO reported on our earlier news item on 9th May). Jessica Raine's agent's website also seems to confirm the title of the episode that she will be starring in as Phantoms of the Hex. The site also confirms she will be playing a character called Emma Grayling, and that the episode will be directed by Jamie Payne.

Series 7 to Premiere 25th August / 1st September

Series 7 of Doctor Who will begin airing on either Saturday 25th August or Saturday 1st September.

The possible airdates come after the announcement that Episode One of Series 7 will be getting its premiere at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International TV Festival in August.

The festival, which takes place between 23rd-25th August 2012, will be screening the new Dalek episode (rumoured to be titled 'Asylum of the Daleks'), as well as hosting a Sherlock Masterclass led by Showrunner, Steven Moffat, Co-creator, Mark Gatiss, and Producer / Wife of The Moff, Sue Vertue.

DWO have therefore deduced (see what we did there) that Series 7 will either get its BBC One premiere on Saturday 25th August, or Saturday 1st September.
