Every once in a while a genuine surprise turns up to treat Doctor Who fans. This week came the news that a long lost episode of Desert Island Discs featuring William Hartnell (The 1st Doctor) had resurfaced.
The programme which was first broadcast on the BBC Home Service Radio channel on Monday 23rd August 1965, is now available to listen to on the BBC Radio 4 website.

Richard Bacon is live in Cardiff from 2:00pm Today on BBC Radio 5 Live - going behind of scenes of some of TV's biggest dramas.
He's at the BBC's new Roath Lock studios which are used to film Doctor Who, Casualty and Holby City, to name a few.
Bacon will also be talking to The Doctor's new assistant - the actress Jenna Louise Coleman... And he'll get onto the wards of Holby General Hospital to meet the cast of Casualty.

Doctor Who stars, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will present Radio 1's Top 10s of 2010, on Christmas Eve.
The show will see the pair airing their favourite tracks from 2010, and will be broadcast between 8-9pm.
