Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated - Doctor Who Cookbook On Kickstarter

Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated just vworp vworped onto planet Kickstarter!

Our friend and fellow Doctor Who fan, Chris-Rachael Oseland of Kitchen Overlord is regenerating her bestselling Doctor Who cookbook. Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated serves up original recipes for all 116 episodes of the new series plus bonus chapters for cocktails, fish fingers & custard, and more!

Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated has 60 recipes from the 1st edition, as well as 60+ brand new recipes, artwork by Tom Gordon, and beautiful food photography - as well as awesome episode recaps and insights. Best of all, Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated helps you navigate most dietary restrictions, so anyone from vegans to the gluten free to those with food allergies can enjoy!

Before tackling the second edition, Chris-Rachael said she listened to fan feedback at conventions and has read reviews on Amazon and Good Reads. As a die-hard Doctor Who Fan, she wanted to create a one-of-a-kind cookbook that not only gave people a guide to delicious cuisine, but did it with all the flare and FUN of the rebooted TV Show.

Therefore, she’s cut the least popular recipes and is replacing them with new ones based on fan requests. She’s also expanding the chapter on Fish Fingers & Custard and moving the Cocktails to their own chapter to make things easier for families with little Whovians in training.

The revised & expanded 2nd edition includes:

-  60 recipes from the 1st edition (87 episodes, stories #157-224)
-  60+ brand new recipes (recipes for all 116 episodes, stories #157-253)
-  Brand new, high quality food photography
-  Interior artwork by Tom Gordon
-  Bonus chapters for both Cocktails and Fish Fingers & Custard
-  Index broken down by dietary restrictions & food allergies so you can easily feed all your friends

Stretch goals include special recipes for:

-  The 8th Doctor
-  The War Doctor
-  An entire chapter for Dalek-tastic soufflees

To thank backers for their support, she’s also posting daily two minute geeky kitchen gadget reviews from now through June 1st. You can find them on YouTube or at Kitchen Overlord.

The first 10 days are all for Whovians. After that, there’s a Star Wars theme week starting May the 4th followed by theme weeks for Star Trek, Gamers, and other assorted geekery, all to help you sort the great kitchen gadgets from the garbage without wasting hundreds of dollars in the process.

Dining With The Doctor - The First Doctor Who Cookbook since 1985 - On Sale Now!

DWO have received the cover and details for the upcoming Doctor Who themed cookbook; Dining With The Doctor.

Your taste buds are about to take a wibbly wobbly, timey wimey adventure through the 2005 Doctor Who reboot. Megafan and food writer Chris-Rachael Oseland spent a year rewatching all of series one through six and experimenting in her kitchen to bring you a fresh recipe for every single episode. The recipes and over 50 photos are collected in the brand new book, Dining With The Doctor: The Unauthorized Whovian Cookbook.

This book is a treat for any Whovian who wants to offer more than a plate of fish fingers and a bowl of custard at your next viewing party. Want to host an elegant dinner party to show off your new T.A.R.D.I.S. corset? Start the evening with a Two Streams Garden Cocktail followed by Baked Hath, Marble Cucumber Circuits with Vesuvian Fire Dipping Sauce, Professor Yana’s Gluten Neutrino Map Binder, Slitheen Eggs, and some of Kazran’s Night Sky Fog Cups for dessert.

If you’re just getting a few friends together to watch the latest episode, why not offer them an Ood Mezze Plate to munch on as stragglers wander in followed by some quick and easy Fish Custard Tacos, Open Faced Dalek Ironsides, Sontaran Soldiers, and a Cinnamon Pull Apart Crack in the Wall. They can wash it all down with a cup of the Pond’s Wedding Punch.

Lets be honest. No Whovian gathering is complete without them, so you also get an entire bonus chapter dedicated to interesting alternative takes on fish fingers and custard.

This comprehensive cookbook includes ingredients in both archaic American and modern Metric measurements, eighteen adult beverages, more than two dozen recipes for vegetarians, twenty that are safe for people with wheat allergies, and ten for the low carb dieters. You’ll be prepared for every possible guest.
