Doctor Who: Series One Gets A Star Wars: The Force Awakens Style Trailer

A Doctor Who fan has given Series One, featuring The 9th Doctor, a Star Wars: The Force Awakens style Trailer treatment.

YouTube user 'VG934' a.k.a Dom said:

"Being the huge Doctor Who and Star Wars fan that I am, how could I resist the chance to bring these two massive franchises together? Well sort of bring them together, let's call it Who Wars.

Some may call me late to the party but I must remind you that a Wizard is never late, nor is he early - he arrives precisely when he means to. Alas, I'm no Wizard but the same principle applies.

Anyway, I hope 2016's treating you all well and that you enjoy this little mashup as much as I did making it!"

Doctor Who And SciFi Corsets By Castle Corsetry

It began when her mom taught her to sew at age six. Now, Lauren Bregman of Castle Corsetry has been an award-winning designer for the past decade. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and training at Farthingales Corsets, Lauren broke through as a designer for the famous Trashy Lingerie. There, she designed custom corsets and costume orders for superstars such as Kim Kardashian, Julianne Hough, Holly Madison, and Rose McGowan, as well as some pieces for major award shows.

Since launching Castle Corsetry in 2009, Lauren has designed and built hundreds of corsets ranging from compact waist cinchers to full fledged waist-trainers in all materials from silk to leather and everything in between. Though she does create classic corsets, Lauren’s most popular designs are her pop-culture corsets featuring Star Wars, comic book characters, Harry Potter houses and, of course, Doctor Who.

In addition to her corsetry work, Lauren has designed and manufactured many custom costume orders. Executing dozens of orders for every major convention across the country, she has now made a name for herself in the cosplay community. You can see some of her designs on Geek-culture celebrities like Team Unicorn, Ivy Doomkitty, and Adrianne Curry!

Some of her noteworthy and award-winning costumes include Dark Phoenix, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Captain America, Mortal Kombat's Mileena, Monster High's Frankie & Lagoona and SpaceballsDark Helmet. There's no project beyond her skill and no design beyond her imagination. As a geeky girl herself, Lauren's enthusiasm for her work is what sets her apart. Her dedication and attention to detail makes her designs truly exceptional. There isn't a finer, quirkier costumer around.

DWO Interview: 5 Questions with... Warwick Davis

DWO interviews Doctor Who Actor, Warwick Davis, regarding his role as 'Porridge' in the Neil Gaiman-penned, Doctor Who episode; 'Nightmare In Silver', his career as an actor as well as the upcoming Star Wars movies.

You've worked your way through some of the biggest cult Movies and TV Shows of all time, how did you feel adding the Doctor Who notch to your belt?

I am very fortunate in my career to have been involved in some amazing projects - among them, some really big franchise movies. Getting a role in Doctor Who has been a career ambition ever since I can remember.

I was such a fan of the programme when I was young, and I always imagined being The Doctor. I used to borrow my dads old tyre pressure gauge which looked a lot like a sonic screwdriver and stand in my wardrobe, pretending it was the Tardis. Trouble was, it actually felt smaller on the inside!

I met Jon Pertwee when I was about eight and worked with Tom Baker on the BBC series 'The Silver Chair'. I suppose Tom was 'my' Doctor much in the same way people refer to 'their' James Bond.

Without giving too much away, can you tell us a bit about your character Porridge in 'Nightmare In Silver' and what it was like working with a script from the legendary Neil Gaiman?

Porridge is a very interesting character, with a cool back story. All I can say is, he's quite an important person universally.

Neil Gaiman's script is fantastic and it was a pleasure to play the scenes he wrote. And he included Cybermen - what more could I ask! I sincerely hope the fans enjoy it. I've already received a very warm welcome from them, even before the episode has aired which I hope will continue after they've seen it.

With a new series of Stars Wars movies now confirmed, would you be up for a return to the galaxy far, far away?

Of course, I'd love to. I'd like to play a villain...with a lightsaber. Now that would be cool!

The 'Life's Too Short' special was fantastic (as was the first series) can we expect any more, and what other projects do you have coming up that we can look out for?

The special is it, for now. It's down to schedules and timing. Ricky and Stephen are busy people, but we all enjoy working together, so if we can find time, we'll do more. I am currently developing several documentary series, and a radio show. I have my own YouTube channel called 'The Multiverse'. It's the home of sci-fi and fantasy comedy for the geek in all of us. We are producing some brilliant, original shows (many of which I am in too). Please check it out and SUBSCRIBE for free to be the first to see brand new episodes.

I am soon to start shooting a 10 part fantasy / comedy series I have written, and will be directing and appearing in. It's called 'Dwarves Assemble'. I also have a new company that sells exclusive signed memorabilia, in particular, for the first time anywhere, licensed 'Harry Potter' autographs. There is a lot of cool stuff there already, and I'll be adding more all the time. Check it out here: www.thesignatureshop.co.uk.

Finally, if you could take a round trip in the TARDIS anywhere in time and space, where would you go and why?

I'd like to check out old London around the time of the plague. I know it sounds odd, but I've always been fascinated by that period in history and I think it would be good to wander around for a bit and take in the atmosphere (not the plague though).

David Tennant To Star In 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'

David Tennant (The Tenth Doctor) will make his Star Wars: The Clone Wars debut this week in “A Test of Strength” airing Saturday 10th November at 9:30am ET/PT on Cartoon Network

Tennant will voice the character Huyang, a droid who greatly impacts the journey of a group of young Jedi, who were just setting out to build their first lightsabers in last week’s episode. The famed actor will continue to appear in the series for the following two episodes, “Bound for Rescue” and “A Necessary Strength.”

“When I heard the Doctor himself, David Tennant, was a fan of Star Wars I knew I had to find a way to get in contact with him to see if he would perform on Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” said Dave Filoni, Supervising Director, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

“The result was ‘Huyang,’ an ancient droid in the service of the Jedi Order, whose sole task in life has been overseeing the construction of lightsabers. I thought David was perfect for the part and he did not disappoint. He delivered a performance which impressed even the Master himself, George Lucas.”

Lucasfilm have kindly given DWO permission to add the clip to the DWO YouTube Channel, which you can watch below:
